Aged 67 years, has done his Graduation in Economics from Mumbai University. At an early age he joined his family business of Steel Trading and Ship Recycling. In the year 1982, it was him who was amongst the first few to have gone to Alang and start the Ship Recycling industry. Alang today is the world’s largest Ship Recycling yards.
His love for ships and his in-depth knowledge of the Ship Recycling industry has been the reason to integrate into Ship Chartering and Ship Owning.
His experience and thorough knowledge of the industry is the greatest asset to the Group. He provides strategic direction to the Group and has gained a great reputation in the Business and Social community. With his passion and zeal for growth the Group has transformed from a small trading house to a conglomerate with a Turnover of INR 1700 Crore.

Aged 41, has completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York. After having completed his Bachelors in 2002 he returned home and joined DSP Merrill Lynch and worked with them for about a year. Post that he trained with a TV manufacturing company for three months after which he joined the family’s Ship Recycling Business. Even as he worked to expand his inheritance, he had the urge to create his own mark as an entrepreneur.
In 2004, he founded the Group’s manufacturing arm – Arya Iron & Steel Company Pvt. Ltd, a 1.2MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant. As a MD & CEO of the company, he has steered the company to be ranked 9th among the top 500 fastest growing companies in India - Inc India Magazine, with a Turnover of INR 800Crore.
Under his leadership and guidance, the group is also under the process to commission a 1.8MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant and a 0.1MTPA Steel Plant.
